Though our mission statement has evolved over time, one thing hasn’t changed. That’s our connection to our local community here in Northwest Ohio that’s not only where we got our start, but also our home. Through the years, we’ve made forging connections in our local community a priority. The first ever Parents of Preemies Day was held right here in Toledo. We’ve been honored to be a part of partnerships with companies headquartered in NWO. And whenever possible, we have made a point of reaching out to and getting to know the preemie parents in our neighborhood.
Today is #GivingTuesday and as much as we hope to see support pouring in from all over the world, we’re also excited to know we can count on local support, too. The Toledo Community Foundation and The Blade have partnered to support local nonprofits with a matching grant just for the day and because of our community ties, we’re eligible. Donations we receive today – whether via online donation, cash, check or from a Donor Advised Fund at Toledo Community Foundation – can be matched 1:1.
The catch is the matching grant can ONLY be applied to donations received today on #GivingTuesday so we hope we can count on your help! You can donate to support our mission right on our website. With your help and help from the amazing people at the Toledo Community Foundation and The Blade, we’ll be able to fund more of the direct support, research, and advocacy programs that help improve outcomes for preemie families in NWO and around the world.
