Periodically, we reach out to our network of engaged parents of preemies to let them know about upcoming advocacy opportunities. Right now we have two to share, both in the Maryland area.
First on March 7th Graham’s Foundation will be present at a working dinner co-hosted by the FDA and the Critical Path Institute that is open to all parents of preemies. The dinner, which is part of the Second Annual Neonatal Scientific Workshop, will take place at the Sheraton Silver Spring Hotel in Silver Spring. For more information or to RSVP, email [email protected].
Next, the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has announced a public workshop open to all parents on April 13. Graham’s Foundation president Nick Hall will share the parent perspective at the FDA’s “Advancing the Development of Pediatric Therapeutics (ADEPT): Successes and Challenges of Performing Long-Term Pediatric Safety Studies” workshop and will be giving one of only two presentations by family members. RSVP here.
Your presence at one or both of these events shows professionals and influencers in the prematurity space that parents of preemies are following new developments in medicine and preemie care closely and want to be more involved in shaping neonatal medicine in the future!
